So I have been getting around to freshening up a few parts I have at home here in Dublin for the car. The engine and bay was "colourful" to put it lightly. so I have decided to paint match the engine bay to the rest of the car, Lamborghini Le Mans Blue (Yes Lamborghini!).
I've also decided to black out the engine using black vht paint. I'd like it to have a near factory sort of look to the bay, I prefer the subtlety of the blacked out engines as everything blends into one in my own opinion. I Also heat wrapped the manifold and downpipe along with blacking out the intercooler. I havent done anything paint wise with the intercooler pipes yet because when in full lock the wheels are rubbing off the pipe so will need to get them pie cut welded maybe to make the angle smaller on the bend.
Need to pick up a black cold air intake to show off the sound of the turbo flutter. if anybody reading this knows of any nice black Cold air intakes dm the Instagram page! would love to get some opinions and advice and also connect with anyone reading these blogs!. Also wire brushed down the gearbox and sprayed it silver to give it a refresh. Dirty job that!
I sanded down the Rota BM8 wheels as they were very chipped around the edges and want the whole car to look as fresh as possible when its back on the road!. Bought a wheel sanding drill bit from temu which worked wonders and made the job ten time easier! sprayed them white myself just to get me by until I can get them professionally done. id like the inside spokes of the wheel to be black along with the rest white. I think it'll really match in well with the planned wrap I have in mind for the car.
Let me know what you guys think anyway! Any advice or interaction is always welcomed just DM me in Instagram always up for a chat all things cars!
Until Next Time!!!
